High Speed, Low Light, DFD AF with Eye Detection
AF performance has been improved for shooting in low-light, low-contrast scenes in morning mist and evening landscapes. Low Light AF can also shoot down to -4 EV situations with accurate focusing even in moonlight.*
High speed AF in the LUMIX G95 utilises DFD (Depth From Defocus) technology**. Combined with its Venus Engine, the G95 calculates the distance to the subject by evaluating several images while consulting the optical characteristics of the current lens fitted. As a result, the LUMIX G95 achieves high speed AF of approximately 0.07 sec*** and high speed burst shooting at 9 fps (AFS) / 6 fps (AFC) to capture fast moving subjects in-focus.
Furthermore, the LUMIX G95 incorporates Face / Eye Detection AF which automatically sets focus right on the eye of a human face to capture stunning portraits with crisp focus. With the Pinpoint AF, users can also magnify the target area for exact, precise focus.
